From the series “Zalipie”. The “flowers” admired at exhibitions and placed in museum showcases are the work of damaged, overworked hands. Zalipianki are mainly farmers and housewives, and their work is only a respite from hard work. Roadside weed, potato digging, a dog in a colorful kennel and festively dressed women, reverie of endless fields, sunflowers against a whitewashed wall – these are crumbs of Zalipie reality.
